Why did you not mention that before?

When doing a task, something might be trivial to you but not to the others. However, constantly bring up a trivial-to-all-parties matter can make the discussion less effective.

Communication is important in collaboration. With that said, how can you determine what to bring up (verbal, chat message, etc.)? How to avoid the situation such as “Why didn’t you let me know beforehand?”
